Local dance artist Paulette Mae (you may have seen her work in progress at URC, and more fully developed at the Old Fire Station during this year’s Dancin’ Oxford) is working on a new piece and would appreciate responses to an image posted in a blog as contributions to the creative process – see below for details…Paulette writes:

Hey…I’m Paulette Mae, an Oxford-based dance artist and I’m currently looking for people who have a few minutes to spare to give their first impressions of an image posted in a blog. The image is being used in the process of generating material for a dance theatre solo I’m working on. Live artist Roxanne Claxton will work with the responses to create music/a soundscape for the piece which will be shared as work-in-progress in September at the Old Fire Station.

The image is at http://www.paulettemae.com/category/blog/ (please cut and paste into address bar if link not working).

And then just click on ‘comments’ at bottom of page to leave a reply, and scroll down past the other comments (best to read these after leaving your own response).

So far I’m finding this blog really inspiring and can’t wait to start working with it for the solo and to see what is generated from the responses. It would great to get a few more in before I close the blog at the end of July…more about the piece, the image and whys will be given then for those interested.

hope to hear from you…

and really appreciate any response!
